Fuel rail

Explanation of different fuel rails and rails from different brands. We Mainly use SPD, Nuke and Radium but also have universal rail extrusions.

The difference betwen them basicly are:
# Internal bore diameter
# Model specific brackets
# Inlet and outlets


 

SPD fuel rail

# Internal bore diameter
SPD is the only brand who use 20mm internal bore. This means that if you supply it with enough fuel for your power goals you will never have to worry about fuel starvation because of small bore turbulence.

Have you ever heard of the last cylinder failiure? It's the 5th cylinder on a 5cyl engine or the 6th cylinder on a 6cyl engine. Knock issues, head gasket faliure, piston meltdown, internal cylinder scratches, spark plug melt or breakdown. All these can be the consequence of a to small fuel rail internal bore. Be sure to have your system set up right! -starting with a SPD fuel rail.

# Model specific brackets
SPD fuel rails does not come wit model specific brackets as many tend to modify their intake manifold. instead there are several threaded holes to bolt the rail to your intake manifold. Bolts are included.

# Inlet and outlets
SPD rails have AN10 female threads in each end of the fuel rail. This is possible because of the big 20mm internal bore. There are olso one extra AN6 female thread in between the injector outlets. This port can be used as sensor or fuel return port. Inlet/outlet adapters of choice are included.

 

 


 

Nuke Performance fuel rail

# Internal bore diameter
The internal bore of 17,5mm is enough for most applications. This is more or less the inustry standard internal bore so many can feel safe with this.

# Model specific brackets
Nuke performance fuel rails can be delivered with our without mounting brackets. There are a flat surface all along the top of the rail you can use for a universal bracket mounting if you want to use it for your custom intake manifold.

# Inlet and outlets
There are AN8 female threads in both ends of the fuel rail. The fuel rail are supplied with adapters to get AN8 male connections.

 

Radium Engineering fuel rail

# Internal bore diameter
Radium use different internal bore diameter depending on engine. Many times adapted to the specific engine.

# Model specific brackets
Radium fuel rails are 100% bolt on. This is their main advantage over competitors.  You get all the hardware neccessary to bolt the rail on to your original intake manifold. 

# Inlet and outlets
Inlet and outlet ports vary between models but Radium use AN6, AN8, AN10 and 3/8NPT depening on what they are used for.

Universal fuel rail


# Internal bore diameter

16mm internal bore diameter.

# Model specific brackets
No model specifig brackets or holes come with this fuel rail aluminium extrusion. This is for you who want to make your own fuel rail.

# Inlet and outlets
16mm internal diameter without threads. you make desired threads yourself. No injector oultlets and injector clip threads are made as this should be used as a universal fuel rail and be modified to fit any engine.
