Do I have to soak the exhaust wrap when installing?
No, you don't have to soak the exhaust wrap. It can be mounted both dry and wet, whichever feels best.

What material is exhaust wrap made of?
Exhaust wrap consists of basalt and / or fiberglass material. They are then treated / coated. Together, this provides good thermal protection / insulation. The coating is also what makes the characteristic color.
